individual & couples counseling

I specialize in supporting clients heal from trauma while they also navigate the unique challenges of holding multiple cultural identities. Many of the people I work with experience anxiety or depression in response to the political and global climate, the weight of cultural expectations, family wounds & conflict—alongside the everyday stress of balancing career, relationships, and a sense of self.

liberatory healing

People I work with often come to me after painful experiences with white therapists who lacked cultural or sociopolitical consciousness. I provide culturally integrative care which promotes healing from systemic and institutional harm, drawing from somatic, feminist, and trauma-informed approaches while integrating cultural and ancestral wisdom as a pathway for healing.

Those of us with hyphenated identities, othered for defying eurocentric / americacentric “norms” …those who dare to disrupt the norm

  • Black and white Arabic numeral 3

Those of us who are the children of immigrant parents and have had to figure out how to navigate the experience of having a foot in two, three, or more cultural worlds

  • Black and white Arabic numeral 4

Those of us wounded by failing systems and oppressive institutions, and looking for spaces that center the intersection of social justice and anti-oppressive healing

  • Black and white Arabic numeral 5

Those of us feeling chronically exhausted by the stress of racism, colonialism, and white fragility, while minimizing parts of who you are or code switching to experience safety or acceptance

  • Black and white Arabic numeral 6

Those of us feeling the impact of assimilation, severed from our culture(s) of origin and ancestral lineages, desiring to experience reconnection

Our Values
  • therapy can help us cultivate a deeper relationship with ourself

and supports us in nurturing connection with those around us

  • therapy supports us in building self-confidence, allowing us to feel more secure in our identity

and moves us into alignment with the person we want to be

  • therapy can help us feel unstuck by identifying patterns and cycles that keep us in a loop

while learning skills to forge new pathways forward

  • therapy can help us deepen our capacity for resilience

building spaciousness to hold both joy and pain as we endeavor to exist in and disrupt systems of oppression

  • therapy can help us improve our communication skills

better equipping us to navigate intimacy and conflict in our important relationships

  • therapy offers an environment of safety, compassion, and non judgment to heal from trauma

whereas unprocessed trauma will continue to seep into the relationship we have with ourselves, others, and the world around us
